Press release Sweden, Mölndal, May 24, 2017
The test track enables interoperability tests between different ERTMS onboard and trackside systems in a real environment, whilst minimizing the impact on regular traffic. The tests will be carried out on the route Åby - Katrineholm and the traffic areas Strångsjö and Simonstorp.
Cactus Rail's delivery consists of traffic management systems (CTC). It is a subcontract, where the customer is Ansaldo STS Sweden AB, with the Swedish Transport Administration as end-customer.
The test track is an important part of ensuring the roll-out of ERTMS in Sweden, which will last until the year 2035.
Cactus Rail provides system solutions for traffic management, integration platform for efficient maintenance and analysis as well as traffic automation. Cactus delivered the first rail system to StorStockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) in the early 1990s. Among the customers are Nordic infrastructure owners (SL, Trafikverket and Lokaltog), as well as global rail companies. The cactus has named our company. It lives and thrives in a tough environment that places tough demands on adaptation, evolution and sustainability. Just like us and our systems.
